Located in Travers, in the heart of the Val-de-Travers, the Asphalt Mines are one of the region’s most iconic heritage sites. Renowned for their unique industrial history, they also offer visitors an opportunity to discover local flavours and traditions.

The regional products shop showcases the world of absinthe through a selection of more than twenty absinthes, alongside a range of Green Fairy-inspired local products including chocolates, sausages, crisps, glasses, spoons, fountains and souvenirs. Tastings are also available to explore the diversity of absinthes produced in the Val-de-Travers.

At the Café des Mines, absinthe even finds its way onto the menu through the traditional absinthe parfait, a local speciality enjoyed by many visitors.
